Glenn Hughes

Não há muito pra se dizer sobre Glenn Hughes, que todos já não saibam.
Sempre lembrado como “The Voice of Rock” hoje acho que caberia a ele muito bem o título de “The Great Voice of Soul”, já que o cantor e baixista transita com naturalidade e competência entre um gênero e outro.
Esse músico versátil que já fez parte de muitas bandas importantes, sempre se cercou de parceiros com enorme qualidade. É o caso do baterista Chad Smith (do Red Hot Chili Peppers) que assumiu as baquetas nos quatro últimos discos de Glenn (o quarto, ainda não oficialmente lançado, diga-se de passagem).
É essa parceria, aparentemente inusitada que quero trazer aqui, para que vocês sintam a marca característica que Chad imprime ao trabalho do vocalista, conferindo-lhe ainda mais swingue.

Esta é a versão japonesa do disco que apresenta como bônus as músicas The Healer e Change.O álbum é uma gravação de estúdio ao vivo, numa apresentação fechada em Los Angeles, para convidados e fãs selecionados através de seu site oficial. Marcam presença aqui, por exemplo, os vocalistas Kevin DuBrow (Quiet Riot) e Alex Ligertwood (Santana). A banda de Hughes conta com o já citado baterista Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), os guitarristas JJ Marsh e George Nastos, e o tecladista Ed Roth.
