Para quem gosta de material raro,como lados Bs,BBC sessions ou demos que nunca foram lançadas esse box com 7 discos é altamente recomendável.Alguns discos são creditados unicamente a Phill Lynott mas a maioria do material é ThinLizzy.
O volume 1,'The Early Years,'com material a partir de 1969,tem raridades como a canção "New Places, Old Faces,"da fase com Skid Row e a primeira reunião do Thin Lizzy (Phil Lynott-Brian Downey-Eric Bell) em um tributo a Jimi Hendrix chamado "A Song for Jimi."
O volume 2 é centrado na dupla de guitarras com B-sides,outtakes e BBC
sessions."Rosalie" single, "Halfcaste" , além de cinco faixas da BBC Session em 75, incluindo uma grande versão de "It's Only Money" e uma performance rara em "Rock N' Roll With You" entre outras.
O volume 3 incide em material solo de Lynott, como por exemplo o dueto "Tennessee Stud", entre Lynott e The Pogues,o mais intrigante são as faixas que Lynott gravou com Huey Lewis'("Can't Get Away", "Still Alive" and "One Wish") em novembro de 85,apenas dois mesesantes de morrer.
O volume 4 é mais misturado incluindo várias faixas demos de 1982, "Don't Let Him Slip Away" and "Hate", e claro as BBC radio sessions "Return of the Farmer's Son", "Little Darling" e uma versão de "Still in Love With You" com a letra diferente,entre outras. Também inclui tres faixas do último show(Nuremburg,4 de Setembro de
1983)"Jailbreak", "Thunder and Lightning" and "Rosalie."
O volume 5 chama-se "1978",gravado em um estúdio em Dublin,conta com material da época do ao vivo "Live and Dangerous",material do disco solo de Lynott(Solo in Soho) e outras mais conhecidas dos fãns como ("Waiting for an Alibi", "Ode to a Black Man", "Are You Ready", "Parisienne Walkways", etc.),e a faixa original escrito por Rainbow's
Jimmy Bain, "Rocklila".
O volume 6 conta com demos e gravações em estúdio da época do Black Rose e também conta com as primeiras participações de John Sykes,que toca um solo completamente diferente em Bad Habits e faixas com letras e títulos diferentes das lançadas posteriormente nos álbuns.
Boa parte do volume 7 é de um show em Cork City, Irlanda e tem seções de ambos os soundcheck, bem como o próprio show.Incluiu também o soundcheck do Hammersmith Oden.todos com excelente gravações.
